Famelia is founded by Amelia Birch, and is a wine bar and bottle shop on Enmore Road, Newtown, dedicated exclusively to wines made by women winemakers, women-led wineries, and woman+ teams.
Famelia exists for a clear and important reason: women make exceptional wine, yet remain significantly underrepresented in the industry. Amelia created Famelia, to help shift that balance thoughtfully, and intentionally.

🌺 HOW TO GET TO PENDULUM TODAY
We highly recommend that you take the ferry as it is the closest and the shortest walk. Circular quay wharf to North Sydney wharf = 10 minutes + beautiful views. You then go along the Kesterton boardwalk all the way to Retort House. I will post ferry times on our story!
There is also a bus and two trains however we recommend the ferry as it suits the Pendulum experience and is the most accessible.
Accessibility wise: The venue has lift access from the Main Entrance. Ramped access is available for decked areas.
We are holding this event on the land of the Cammeraygal people of the Eora Nation and we acknowledge them as the Traditional Custodians of the land. We pay our deepest respects to Elders past and present, and recognise their enduring connection to land, waters, and culture. This always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
