🔥 Fire Ban Coming Into Effect
A campfire ban is set to take effect as dry conditions continue to increase wildfire risk.
The BC Wildfire Service says open fire prohibitions will begin Thursday at noon within the Coastal Fire Centre, which includes Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland.
The ban applies to all categories of open burning, including:
🚫 Campfires
🚫 Backyard burning
🚫 Industrial fires
