This week marks a special time on PEI as licensed harvesters head out across the Island’s bays and rivers to tong, rake, and gather wild oysters.
From the water to your plate, these briny beauties are at the heart of PEI. 💙

There’s nothing quite like setting day on Prince Edward Island - boats lined up at the wharf, crews ready to go, and communities gathered to send them off. It’s a powerful reminder of the traditions, hard work, and pride that shape our coastal way of life.
What a sight to see, and what a special Island tradition to be part of. Here’s to calm seas, full traps, and a season to remember. ⚓️🦞
