Happy National Caesar Day from PEI International Shellfish Festival 🍅🦪🍹 Nothing pairs with Island shellfish quite like a classic Caesar made with Mott’s Clamato. Cheers to bold flavours, good times, and Canada’s favourite cocktail! 🇨🇦

🦪 It’s officially Wild Oyster Fishing Season on PEI! This week marks a special time on PEI as licensed harvesters head out across the Island’s bays and rivers to tong, rake, and gather wild oysters. From the water to your plate, these briny beauties are at the heart of PEI. 💙

Wishing all North Shore fishers - and every Island fisher - a safe, successful, and bountiful season from all of us at the PEI International Shellfish Festival. There’s nothing quite like setting day on Prince Edward Island - boats lined up at the wharf, crews ready to go, and communities gathered to send them off. It’s a powerful reminder of the traditions, hard work, and pride that shape our coastal way of life. What a sight to see, and what a special Island tradition to be part of. Here’s to calm seas, full traps, and a season to remember. ⚓️🦞

Some traditions don’t fade - they evolve. 🦪 Like fine wine, they grow richer, deeper, and more unforgettable with time. From its roots to the world stage, the PEI International Shellfish Festival is proof that the best traditions only get better. 🍷

Then vs. Now 📸 From one unforgettable day to an event that now takes center stage on the world scene - the PEI International Shellfish Festival has always been something special. 🦪 These throwbacks (circa 2008) remind us where it all began… and how far we’ve come. Not everything this rare happens overnight - it’s built on tradition, community, and a whole lot of island pride. 2026 marks the Year of the Pearl - and we can’t wait to celebrate it with you. 🌊
