“Alison Antaramian is a self-taught artist living in Asheville, NC. This work was made over the course of 2025 and is a new medium for her.
I Like You Guys features standalone or bas-relief (think 2.5 dimensions) sculptures made from paper clay.
Many of the sculptures depict a snapshot from its subject’s life. One woman sets a house on fire, another happens to be on fire herself, and some are doing gentler things, like getting their nails done. Some sculptures are just flowers in vases. They are all equally cartoonish, colorful, and shiny like hard candy.
This is Alison’s first-ever art show. She hopes you enjoy it.”
