The collection BETWEEN BORDERS brings together short films by Brazilian filmmakers living in Portugal. Works that move between fiction, documentary, and hybrid forms — shaped by displacement, encounters, and reinvention. More than a thematic selection, it’s a gesture of affirmation: these immigrant films — produced, shot, or finished in Portugal — also belong there, and help to expand, question, and transform the contemporary national cinema landscape with a fresh tropical take.
