IT’S TIME – OUR BIG BUILD STARTS NOW!
We’re launching OUR BIG BUILD—and we need YOU to help create a game-changing space for Leicester’s young people! Too many feel shut out of opportunities, struggling with mental health, and uncertain about their future. We refuse to let them be left behind.
So, we’re building something BIG. A safe, creative hub at 29 Horsefair Street—with a youth-led gallery, recording studios, and inspiring spaces where young people can thrive.
This is more than a building—it’s a movement.
Every donation, share, and action brings us closer to opening the doors.
Join us and help build a future where young people feel valued, supported, and inspired.

“Grime Opera” | Documentary
The brief
Document a year long process of @pedestrian1998 first flagship project, capturing multiple workshops, partnerships and events.
Our approach
Extensive tracking of year long timelines anchored the production of this documentary.
As the project was developed by several rappers and a full scale orchestra, Rendah coordinated the filming of milestone events and 15 location specific interviews leading up to the performance.
Using the city as a backdrop, the aim was to explore the intersection between Grime and Classical music and the shared characteristics of the two cultures, facilitated by Pedestrian’s ‘ground-breaking’ flagship project.
The result
A bold collaboration uniting grime artists with a 65-piece youth orchestra.
Elevated Leicester’s music scene through a high-impact, cross-genre performance.
Created new pathways for young talent through live performance and exposure.
Brought culture into public space, engaging wider and more diverse audiences.

This year, Pedestrian turns 28!
And we’re celebrating the people who made it happen.
Over the next 12 months, we’ll be sharing the stories of those who helped build Pedestrian from the ground up and drive us to where we are now.
Meet Jenny, she started volunteering for Pedestrian in 2014, after being a participant in one of our employability workshops. She then went on to be a Tutor, Project Manager, Trustee and first female Chair! Her wealth of knowledge and creativity helped shape the organisation to what it is today. Here, she talks about her experience,
"Pedestrian will always mean a lot to me because of the amazing, people- staff, volunteers and students! Working alongside them gave me so many amazing opportunities and experiences that shaped who I am today. It’s incredible to see how much the charity has evolved over the years and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things it can achieve with the new space!"
We’re excited to share that our talented friends and tutors from Comic & Concept, who helped bring our Tell TalesTales graphic novel to life are showcasing and selling their work!
Hosted by students from @dmu_coco comic & Concept course, COCO Con is a vibrant art convention featuring handmade prints, stickers and more. Expect a mix of fan art inspired by popular shows and games, alongside incredible original creations.
