Law School for Entrepreneurs: What Every Business Owner Needs to Know. Every contract you sign, every person you hire, every decision you make has a legal consequence. Do you know what it is? Most business owners learn the law the hard way, after something goes wrong. Sonya Szabo of Zabo Law breaks down the legal essentials every entrepreneur needs to understand: contracts, employment, liability, and ownership in plain language, no jargon. You’ll leave knowing how to protect yourself, spot the red flags, and when it’s time to pick up the phone and call a lawyer. Bring your questions. Leave with answers.

Today is International Transgender Day of Visibility. On March 31, we celebrate the accomplishments of transgender and non-binary people, while raising awareness of the work still needed to achieve true inclusion and equity. At the Prince Edward County Chamber of Commerce, we believe that a thriving PEC economy is one where every person feels welcomed, valued, and safe as a business owner, an employee, and a community member. That includes our transgender and gender-diverse neighbours. It celebrates the lives and contributions of trans people and helps draw attention to the disproportionate levels of discrimination the community still faces. Seeing yourself reflected in your community is powerful, and businesses have a real role to play in making that happen. To our transgender and gender-diverse community members in Prince Edward County: you belong here. You matter here. We see you. Today and every day. #TransgenderDayOfVisibility #TDOV2026 #PrinceEdwardCounty #PECBusiness #InclusiveEconomy #2SLGBTQ #TransVisibility #ChamberOfCommerce
