Stereo Mc’s formed in the mid 80’s, inspired by electronic music and early HipHop. They pressed up their first 12” vinyl and started an independent record label called G Street Records which released many UK hip hop artists and signed US acts such as Jungle Brothers. Over the years the group have toured with De La Soul, Living Colour, A Certain Ratio and Happy Mondays.

All our concerts are held in the main Cavern Entrance Chamber which is classed as an Open-Air Venue. It is essentially outside but with a huge cave roof protecting you from the elements, a venue like no other ....

To get the party started in May we are excited to have Manchester’s very own Mr. Scruff
Manchester based Andy Carthy aka Mr. Scruff began as a 12-year-old bedroom DJ and producer in 1984, inspired by two-tone, reggae, electro, hip-hop, boogie, early house and ‘80s megamixes.
Over the years his obsessive and curious ear has latched onto many more styles, driven by the desire to bring more and more wonderful sounds into the mix, both in the club and the recording studio.
