2/26
All the food I have cooked last month, it’s not a lot but given my schedule this month, I think I can do better or maybe I did lol.
I ate out quite a bit too but there are too many dishes i haven’t cooked before🤣
Anyway I made:
1. Beef stirfry with veggies that were going to turn yellow 😬
2. Matcha cookies for valentines 💌
3. And steak for valentines day dinna huhu
4. Omg istg this mi goreng turned out sooo good! Delicious >< and ofc my fav Caesar salad (the dressing 10/10)
5. Made some pork and chives dumplings, buy the meat from butchers! cheaper (?) and better than supermarket (personal opinion haha)
6. At this point I was a but tired to cook but also did not want to go out for food so as a compromise had a high protein roast chicken from coles haha turned into sth with stuffs on it.
7. And tiramisu for dessert
8. Made black pepper beef stir fry, goooood!
9. Had some frozen dumplings left from last time, turned that into gravy dumplings thingy and ate it with rice hehe
10. always wanted to make jjajangmyeon but it always felt overwhelming but then turns out it wasn’t a lot of work(?) anyways enjoyed making it so much.
11. My spring onions growing bwhahhahaha
Thenkyu ;))
Just a home cook trying out others recipes
This gyoza recipe is by @brendan_pang
It turned out really good! Plus it didn’t take a long time to prep as well. Very straight forward and easy

Location 📍: 1/222 James St, Northbridge WA 6003
Was going through photos to make some space and found all these. Well it’s been a while since I’ve been to this cafe and whenever I go~ I’m always pleased by their interior. I love loveee love their interior and ambiance. Im sure a lot of people feel the same way~
Every time I have been there, it has always been good. The vibe is just 😮💨 🫶🏻
Although I haven’t tried their cake slices much, their bingsuus are hugeee and delicious! I had this huge phase where I went to so many different bingsu places haha
Well, it was summer here in Perth so 🤷🏽♀️
Anyway they open till late hehe 😆

cutest cake shop _ @cakebycake_au
Location 📍: 40 Washing Ln, Perth WA 6000
Location 📍: 1/13 Augusta St, Willetton WA 6155
This cafe has two locations, one in Northbridge and the other in Willetton. They make the cutest mini cakes that aren’t just pretty to look at but taste absolutely amazing too. I’ve tried so many of their flavors (trust me, a lotttttt haha), and every single one has been a hit. They’re just too cute ><
I love visiting this place, and it’s become my go-to whenever there’s a birthday in the family. Their mini cakes are perfect ~ since we never manage to finish a full-sized cake, and honestly, most of my family prefers savory over sweet.
Another thing I adore is that they’re open till late! So whenever I’m out for dinner and craving something sweet afterward, I already know exactly where to go hehe.
(Gonna try and get better fotos of the cakes next time, still a bit shy :3)

One thing I love doing with my friend @_xantherose is catching up at a good cafe! She always has the best recommendations ~
I met Xanthe at work, and over time we somehow became really good friends. From talking about books to her recommending me which ones to read, to one that ended up staying with me for a whole year haha (uni happened). By the time I finished it, she had already quit 😂 but I’m glad that book was with me for so long. It’s actually the reason we first met outside of work!
Location 📍: 769 Beaufort St, Mount Lawley WA 6050
Even though it had been a while since we last saw each other, we finally caught up after planning since Christmas… and it happened in February lol. Our first meetup was at @localandaesthetic , which I now recommend everyone to visit because their chili scrambled eggs ooooo 👌🏽 I was talking about them for days! They even have a little retail shop inside, so it’s not just any cafe.
Location 📍: 4/91 Wanneroo Rd, Tuart Hill WA 6060
Then, after a few more months of trying to meet again, we finally caught up at @littledonkeycorner . I got the Turkish eggs and they were sooo good that I literally made them at home 😂 Had me looking up recipes that night. It’s a pretty straightforward one (should I do a post about it 👀?). This meetup was extra special because I got the cutest handmade book 📖 ahhhh so cute >< and she’s so talented!!

Restaurant ~ Piyawat sweetary @piyawatthesweetery
Location 📍: 430 Albany Hwy, Victoria Park WA 6100
A thai restaurant, I foundout about this place while looking for a dessert shop. Oh and I was craving for mango sticky rice!! While looking for a place on google maps, I found this! Turns out they served meals as well as desserts! Went there twice only to not get mango sticky rice haha but the food were good! I enjoyed both times ~ their desserts were delicious as well.
A short one this this, guess Im running out of things to talk about haha
Another must try place!! @hinatacafe a japanese home style cafe~ at fremantle
Location 📍: 19 Blinco St, Fremantle WA 6160
I must say, they served delicious meals 🤤 and I’m sure @ten__zin and @somchoi_yangden agrees with me
This place is definitely worth the hype. 🙌🏼
And since they are quite popular, be prepared to wait in line!!
They do a seasonal menu so there is always something new coming up. I went there when they had the autumn menu. 🍁
So we got the Hayashi rice with beef and the Hinata brunch set.
The rich dish with stew and beef was very filling 🍛
For the drinks I got a black sesame affogato, been into black sesame vibes lately ~ and I’m enjoying it
The interior of the cafe reminds me of restaurants back home, so the vibe was there too!
Oh its in freo (Perth), have you been here?
Okay! Have you been here? It’s called Pachipachi @pachipachiperth 🍗🔥
Location 📍: 608 Albany Hwy, Victoria Park WA 6100
I found out about this place from my cousin @xxstaygold94 . They have a dish called the Angry Bird (chicken) where you can choose your spice level, with Level 5 being the spiciest!
The first time I went, we got the sizzling Mongolian beef, Level 5 Angry Bird Chicken, and some rice. I loved the beef, it was exactly how I like it, but the chicken was a nightmare 😭🤧 It was sooo spicy!! Meanwhile, my cousin was totally fine haha (CRAZYYY). We even took some home because the portion size was massive lol.
The second time I went there, we got beef Thai basil (I love anything with basil hehe). And yes, we got the chicken again because I thought maybe my spice tolerance had improved… AHAHAH nope. Couldn’t finish it. It was PAINFUL!! 😂😂 Took it away again lol.
The third time was after my graduation 🎓. It was pretty late and this was one of the few places still open. We got the teriyaki beef rice bowl and chili basil noodles. GOOD!
That’s all! It’s in Victoria Park and they open till late which is great 🙌
Pork Pad kaprao ~
So here is a not so aesthetically pleasing recipe fotos 😂
Well the first time I ate this was when I was in Chennai, India. I was interning at this Pan asian restaurant and they served one of the prettiest dumplings lol and delicious dishes. And ever since then I have been loving Thai food. One of my favorite is hands down anything stir fried with basil in it.
This is my second time cooking this, I would say it’s pretty straightforward and time efficient. The recipe is from @brendan_pang (I use his recipes all the time and they are AMAZING!! Haha)
Anyway, this is the end of cooking week. Look forward to food around perth haha 🤣
Bibimbap ~
I know I have uploaded a Korean dish already but here you go. Another one ☝️ hahaha
I’m not sure if I can call this easy since there’s a lot of ingredients to prep for but the method is definitely an easy one. All you do is literally just pan fry veggies or if you want something healthy, just use your rice cooker steamer and steam them lol (that’s what I did once, no need to constantly stir them)
I just had sausages but you can use any other meat like beef slices or pork 😊
Also if you made this before and did something different, I would love to hear about it! ><
Anyway look forward to my next dish, a hint: its not Korean
(I actually haven’t decided yet, but lemme know if you want me to make sth lol you can enjoy it virtually) 😂😂
Enough of outside food!😤
Does anyone else feel like eating out all the time loses its charm or is it just me? After a while, the “going out” moment doesn’t feel as special when it’s so repetitive. I enjoy cooking and having too many meals outside makes me feel a bit stressed because first of all $$ and second ahhh I don’t wanna go out again ;-; (Not that I dislike eating out, it just has its own pros and cons, I guess ) 😵
Ohh sometimes outside food actually inspires me to replicate it at home. Whenever I try something new, I’m like, “I can definitely make this!” (Definitely not) but at least it motivates me to cook haha. Some dishes are just so good that I have to try making them myself 😆
Anyway, this is an old recipe of kimchi Jjigae that I made a while back when my sister was craving Korean food.
She originally wanted it from a restaurant and was skeptical of mine while I was cooking… but guess what? She ended up eating so much at the end 😂
I think this is such a quick and easy dish to make, and it’s great for clearing out the fridge too lol. Perth weather today really made me crave some soup~
Oh if yu do end up making it, eat it with rice 🍚
Bye~
