My grandfather’s funeral was this weekend. I am so grateful and blessed to have had him in my life until he was 103. A WWII veteran, founder of his own construction company, and a man who contributed greatly to the community. It’s bittersweet and eye opening, knowing that we will carry his legacy with us. The advice he gave, the lessons he taught, and the jokes he told, will not be forgotten. My cousin said “visiting Grandma and Grandpa is so peaceful, it’s a reset from routine life”, and I could not agree more. My grandparents were together for 73 years, setting the bar extremely high. The pride my Grandfather had in this family is unmatched and something I wish everyone I know could have been a part of. I aspire to be half the man my grandfather was, and it is an honor to share his name. #family
