Yesterday was the beginning of forever with the woman who has been my everything for as long as I can remember. Janeil, you are my first love, my anchor, my partner, and my greatest blessing. From the moment our paths crossed, I knew you were someone extraordinary, and together, we’ve faced life’s challenges, celebrated victories, and grown stronger with every step. This journey hasn’t always been easy, but through every obstacle, you’ve shown me what love truly means—patience, resilience, forgiveness, and unwavering support. You’ve seen me at my best and at my worst, yet you’ve always been there, believing in us even when things seemed impossible. You are my home, my safe space, and the light that keeps me moving forward. Getting down on one knee yesterday felt like more than just a proposal; it felt like the culmination of every shared moment, every whispered dream, and every promise we’ve made to one another over the years. You’ve taught me how to love deeply, to grow intentionally, and to never give up on something real. I don’t have enough words to capture how much you mean to me, Janeil, but I do know this: I am so proud to call you my fiancée and soon, my wife. Today wasn’t just another Sunday. After a year filled with both beautiful highs and testing lows, my Fiancée and I made the most meaningful decision of our lives and give everything back to God and be baptised together. The year brought more challenges than we could have imagined but also more lessons than we ever expected. Through it all, we learned that God was still working quietly behind the scenes. We both came from experiences of spiritual hurt and confusion, which made us question a lot about faith and trust. But in His grace, God was patient. He called us back, gently reminding us that healing and purpose begin with Him and introduced us to some really amazing people. I always thought to myself : What kind of man would I be to promise to love, protect, and lead my future wife, but not also lead her and our relationship to God? 💭 This journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it. Together, we’ve learned to trust His timing and rebuild our foundation the right way. Putting God at the centre of our relationship changed everything. Taking time to build that personal relationship with Him first has been the greatest decision we’ve ever made because before we can build a marriage, we needed to build our faith.
