I’m raising support for my newest and biggest project yet... Notorious BIG SPINNING WHEELS.
This year I was lucky enough to receive a Burning Man Honorarium grant for the project, which is a massive honor... especially being 1 of 75 artists chosen out of over 500 applications. I’m really proud of that, and really grateful.
Some of you know this work from the burn. A lot of you know it from the festival world, where these sculptures have really had a life of their own. Either way, you’ve been watching this whole thing grow for years now... and I just want to say thank you!
Seriously....
The support, encouragement, love, shares, kind words, gigs, opportunities, random hype, all of it... it has meant a ton to me.
I built my first 8 foot kinetic sculpture in 2018... and now I’m building # 7 at 28 foot diameter!
This new piece will debut at Burning Man as the newest part of the Notorious BIG SPINNING WHEELS... and then it’ll keep traveling out into the world to other events after that.
It’s been a rough year in a lot of ways, so this one feels especially meaningful. I really appreciate everyone who’s stuck with me and kept rooting for me through it all.

Josh Cohen is an interactive sculpture artist and founder of PDA Goodwork, a creative studio based in the Catskill Mountains, NY.
