On October 18th at noon at PCTA Auditorium, PPSD High School Libraries and Brown University will be hosting Jacqueline Woodson, international best-selling author, to speak with our high students about writing personal memoirs. Brown University has provided each high school with copies of Brown Girl Dreaming for our students to read and discuss. PCTA students who read the book and participate in the afterschool discussion on October 10th at 2:30 - 3:15 in the PCTA Library, will be able to attend the author event as well as earn extra credit for their ELA classes. Space is limited for the event, so please encourage your student to participate in this amazing opportunity.
The LIUNA New England Region, led by LIUNA General Secretary-Treasurer Michael F. Sabitoni and LIUNA Vice President & New England Regional Manager Donato A. Bianco, Jr. had the honor of hosting @nabtubuilds President Sean McGarvey as he visited the Apprenticeship Exploration School and Building Futures.
At the AES School, distinguished guests watched as students from our @aes__bobcats and @pcta_hs participated in New England Laborers’ Training Trust Fund’s General Construction Training Program.
