Haute Route, the legendary ski route linking Chamonix, France to Zermatt, Switzerland—has been one of the most iconic ski tour routes in the Alps since it was first completed in 1903. Every spring from March to May, more than 3,000 skiers from around the world travel here, drawn by its history, its beauty, and the role it has played in shaping modern ski touring in the Alps. In March 2025, our Laodeng Team: @captain.xfox , @pcpcppc , @frankwuahe and myself—completed this 120-kilometer traverse with the guidance of IFMGA mountain guide @michael.kimber88 Along the way, we battled harsh weather, fluctuating physical conditions, and all kinds of unexpected challenges. But through everyone’s persistence and teamwork, we pieced together a near-perfect journey on the Haute Route—and realized a dream that has been on my skiing list for years. For me, ski touring is a way of life: a process of making peace with yourself, sharing time with friends, and coexisting with nature. Out in those silent mountains, we climb, we walk, we sleep in remote huts, and we savor the pure joy that only snow and altitude can bring. Through this film, I hope to share that joy—so that anyone who dreams of ski touring may find the courage to take their first step, equipped with the right knowledge and respect for safety. The road is long, and the mountains endless. We will keep searching, keep climbing. Next stop—stay tuned. @kailasglobal

Still processing every moment of the last 10 days … . For those who don’t know, I took my CSGA 1 (Canadian ski guide association level 1 for heli and cat skiing) . It is a 10 day course with 2 days worth of exams and in the end you come out with a certification to tail guide :) . Going into the course I was incredibly nervous . “What if I am the least experienced ?” “What if I’m not fit enough?” “What if I can’t remember anything they tell me?” “What if I fail?” … all these questions racing through my head in anticipation of what I would experience . . The reality was much much different . . Every single person on this course (all 22 of them) were incredible people ! Supportive, funny, light hearted, open people :) the amount of cheering and laughing and dancing that went on was beautiful and made all the difference in the world ! I would recommend every single one of them as a tail guide ! . And the instructors … I could write a book about all the good things I have to say about our instructors . I had heard horror stories of guides exams with nasty instructors and it honestly scared me a lot for this course ! But not ours . Again, they were the most supportive, kind, funny, did I mention supportive ? People Ive met in a long time :) they made each and every one of us feel like we could succeed and do a good job . . I learned a million things on this course but one of the most important one that I have been trying to learn for a long time was that I am capable . It’s not about doing everything right the first time , but how you move forward when things don’t go how you hoped they would . How you react and move forward when things don’t go your way . Because we get second chances every single day , and it’s what we do with those moments that really counts ♥️ . I can’t thank my instructors and my team members enough for such an incredible week ! . I’d like to thank @arcteryxbc for helping me every step of the way and always seeing something in me I didn’t quite see in myself yet :) . And all the people who cheered me on since day 1:) @jennifergodbout especially !! . There is still a long way to go , but the ride to get there looks pretty darn awesome :)

Haute Route Ski Touring 天路 Day 0 Chamonix🇫🇷 → Zermatt🇨🇭 7 days, 120km, over 6,000m of elevation gain – and somehow my first-ever hut-to-hut trip is *actually happening*. Still feels kinda surreal that we’re about to roll out. Yesterday, we warmed up in Chamonix’s thick fog – also my first time skinning up on skis for a proper ski tour. Woke up this morning to heavy snowfall. Fresh powder sounds dreamy, but for a high-altitude route famous for sketchy weather and epic views? Not a great sign. 🫠 Ah well… here’s hoping each day gets better from here. 🤞 Team, lets do it! @kailasglobal @pcpcppc @captain.xfox @frankwuahe @michael.kimber88

お世話なった皆さんありがとうございます😊 HEMU FREERIDE WEEK FWT QUALIFIER 1* / FWT QUALIFIER 2* 2024 This will be my second China contest judge since the end of the year. At the Hemjikeplin Ski Resort near Altai City, a very inland city in northwestern China that takes about two days to travel from Japan and is the farthest city in the world from the sea (2500km). Vast ski area, gondola ride up to 2800m, record temperatures near -50℃ during this season's big storm, snow quality unique to inland Japan that is unlike any other in Japan, and an incredible texture that is said to be the birthplace of udon. And delicious. Once again, I realized the breadth and depth of the world. It's a great field, so I think freeride will develop from this 🏔️ Thank you everyone for your help 😊 @fwtqualifier @freerideworldtour_jp #k2snowboarding #houdinisportswear_japan #hestragloves #poc #fullmarks_official #msrgear @postkoriyama @athletehemp #backcountryaccess #stance #kenkosya #postsnowlife #unitykix #hassytimes #weekdayyukiasobi #eightgrooveskatesession
