An evening at the rink with Olympic figure skater Patrick Chan.
On March 4, Nicola Wealth welcomed clients and members of @thearbutusclub for a memorable experience on and off the ice.
Patrick, who is now a Wealth Planning Associate at Nicola Wealth, joined David Sung, Executive Vice Chair & President, Institutional, for a fireside conversation where he reflected on his journey from Olympic competition to the next chapter of his career, sharing perspectives on the discipline, resilience, and long term mindset required to perform and evolve over time.
We look forward to sharing highlights from the discussion on The Wealth Exchange podcast next week.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening such a special one.

“I haven’t thought a lot about skating in the past few years, so I’m grateful for this recognition because it’s forced me to remember the feelings I once had.
I’m envious of the way I used to feel. So strong and laser focused, but I’m also proud. I feel more pride today about being Canadian than I did when I won Olympic Gold.
Were it not for many people sacrificing themselves to support me, neither that day, nor this one, would have occurred.”
- Patrick Chan, Hall of Famer and Order of Sport recipient
