Tonight, I was pleasantly surprised with some exciting news. One of my closest friend's brothers was honored with an Emmy award last Monday, showcasing his talent in the entertainment industry. This unexpected achievement brought me closer to my dear friend’s family, whom I have known for many decades, Essie, who passed away 2 years ago! Meanwhile, I was enjoying my time in Palm Beach, indulging in my passion for politics during my vacation. My friend's other sister Suzay kindly looked after Luckie while I was away. Paul took the Emmy award for a very special movie for his sister and his team of Makeup Artists that starred in this special movie. It's moments like these that remind me of the importance of surrounding myself with people who value and support each other. #emmysawards ❤️🔥
EMMY- amazing to wake up this morning to the 5 wins for this production and to be a part of it. What an extraordinary night for our entire production.
This win belongs to an exceptional Hair & Makeup team whose artistry, discipline, and collaboration made this moment possible. Excellence at this level is never individual — it is collective.
I had the incredible honor of creating the makeup looks for Rita Ora as the Queen of Hearts. Being trusted with that creative freedom — and seeing it recognized on this stage — is something I will never forget.

This weeks recreation is from Descendants: The Rise of Red.🃏I found Princess Bridget (Queen of hearts) when I was searching for movie characters with pink hair! 🎟️ The specific scene I was inspired by she has the pink eyeshadow, winged liner and diamante’s ✨💄
♥️♥️♥️ taking a moment to proudly celebrate and appreciate 🙌 this MEGA accomplishment for every department that garnered this collective recognition including Acting 🎭 @dararenee !! , Casting, Art Direction🏰, Hair, 💇🏻♀️🧑🎤👩🎤Makeup, Costume 🧵🪡, 🤺Stunts, Music, Choreography💃🏻, Cinematography 💡🎥, 🎞️ all of Post ! So grateful to the nominating committees at NATAS for recognizing the hard work that went into this project.
Congrats to EVERYONE who came together to bring Descendants: The Rise of Red to life! This was such a challenging movie to mount because we pushed the limit in every area - from the acting to the songs, dancing and music, to creating the world from the page to the screen with production design, hair/makeup, wardrobe, stunts and post production/VFX. So proud of this film and all that everyone accomplished!
