Notice of Board of Directors vote to amend the following PCCNCF By-laws at the 12/7/2025 annual meeting:
Section 3.01
Qualification
Any person shall become an active member who:
1. Subscribes to the purposes of the Pride Center AND
2. Pays annual dues for membership or meets minimum volunteer hour requirements as determined by the Board of Directors.
Active membership is maintained by certification of the above two requirements in each calendar year from December 1st of a given year to November 30th of the following year. Active membership is active for 365 days (December 1st of a given year to November 30th of the following year) after submitting payment for the membership year or completing the minimum volunteer hours set forth by the Board. Individuals with an active membership are eligible to vote at the Annual Meeting and any subsequent votes by the membership. Membership shall be granted regardless of age, gender expression, race, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, culture, color, income, lifestyle, occupation, condition of health, or physical or mental ability.

Drag Bingo is back this Thursday, May 14th at 7:30 PM, hosted by the fierce and fabulous Emma Gration, with the Pride Center of North Central Florida raising funds for their capital campaign to find a permanent home for the community.
Here’s how it works: Bingo cards are $3 for one or $5 for two, with proceeds going straight to the Pride Center’s building fund. Donate $10 or more and you’ll score a wristband good for $1 off pours all night long. 🎟️

✨ MINDFUL MAKERS SUMMER CAMP ✨
June 3–5 🎨🌿💫
For the first time, Mindful Messages is hosting a 3-day creative summer camp for teens exploring art, confidence, self-expression, movement, nature, comics, wearable art, and community connection through hands-on workshops with local artists.
We wanted to expand the heart of the mural work happening in schools and create an accessible, creativity-centered space for Gainesville’s young artists and makers. 💛
From dreamscape painting + mixed media self portraits to superhero zines and a collaborative community canvas for the Pride Community Center, this camp is all about creativity, care, connection, and becoming more fully yourself.
Open to ages 12–16 ✨

PFLAG works to promote the health and well-being of LGBTQ+ persons, their families, and friends. The group meets on the 2nd Monday of the Month. Our next meeting is scheduled for May 11th at 7 PM. Since the Pride Center is currently between locations, the United Church of Gainesville has kindly offered us a temporary space. Join us at 1624 NW 5th Ave. Meetings are informal with an opportunity to talk, have refreshments and see our resources. Everyone is welcome.
