4th preview of @chessbway tonight. Absolutely insane. Incredible performance of this score. Honestly, the orchestrations and these insane vocals are just unreal. The cast is across the board, exceptional. A very modern book interpretation. Still reeling from the book variations a bit, but it doesn't matter. Its unbelievable what resonates and what works. Once in a lifetime casting. Ill never hear it the same again.
It never ceases to amaze me how @americanrep keep redefining what theater can be, pushing boundaries, bending form, and creating stories that feel like lived experiences. Their art is truly singular, this time merging the craft of the stage with the soul of an artist’s own story into a personal and tangible experience.
It’s a reminder that inspiring art breeds more art, no matter where you are or how you got here. This place never stops creating and inspiring.
