Our hearts are heavy tonight as sweet little Knox fights through some serious medical concerns. 💔 We are all hoping for answers and for this little guy to feel better soon. Knox came into rescue on Wednesday, and his amazing foster quickly noticed that he was bleeding every time he tried to pee. He was also struggling to urinate, and the amount of blood was very concerning. He went straight to the vet. Over the past two days, Knox has been back and forth to the vet for testing and monitoring. Tonight, the decision was made to transfer him to the emergency hospital so he can be monitored overnight, because he is still bleeding. He’s also eating less and becoming more lethargic, so naturally we are very worried about this sweet boy. Please keep Knox in your thoughts tonight and hope that tomorrow brings some answers and a step toward recovery. ❤️ If you are able to donate toward Knox’s medical care, we would be incredibly grateful. Disrespectful or rude comments will not be tolerated. 📍Location: Kelowna 📧 Contact: [email protected] 🐶 Jaida is a spayed 8-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier/Alaskan Malamute mix weighing 57lbs and standing approx. 24" tall. She is an incredibly loving dog who adores people and is wonderful with kids. Jaida loves playing fetch — especially chasing a ball into the water — and is highly food and treat motivated. 🐕 She walks well on leash using a Gentle Leader face harness and is comfortable being left at home during the day. Jaida free roams the house while her family is away and can comfortably go up to 8hrs without needing outside. She is also comfortable in a large crate if needed. 🐾 Jaida can be reactive toward other dogs while on leash, but once she becomes familiar and comfortable with another dog, she does well. Her family successfully introduced another dog into the home, and after an adjustment period, the two cohabitated peacefully. 🩺Jaida does have some medical needs that are currently well managed. She experiences environmental allergies that tend to flare up in the spring, causing itching, and her symptoms are managed with Cytopoint and Zenrelia. She also has hypothyroidism, which is controlled with a simple and affordable medication regimen costing approx. $250/year. When untreated, her hypothyroidism affects her skin and coat, but her family has seen significant improvement over the past six months with her current treatment plan. All veterinary records are available. Jaida is fully up to date on vaccines and tick prevention. 💛 Her family's hope is to find an experienced, patient, and loving home where Jaida can continue to thrive and enjoy the stability and care she deserves. Come meet Murphy this Saturday from 12-1pm at Buffalo Rouge, trust us you won't want to miss out on you chance to meet him. Aside from being totally and completely adorable, Murphy is part German Shepherd, part Husky and part cartoon character slipping on a banana peel. 😂 At just 9 months old, this clumsy boy approaches life with the confidence of a dog who has no understanding of how gravity works. Sofas, beds and graceful landings are still very much a work in progress. 😉 Murphy's signature move is the dramatic side flop where he throws himself onto the floor with zero grace and one hundred percent hilarity. 🤣 This happy-go-lucky pup lives for playtime, zoomies and sniffing every single blade of grass on walks. Squirrels and birds are suspicious to Murphy....he likes to chase them in the yard when he can. He's great with other dogs and older kids, making him the perfect addition for a family looking for a cuddle buddy and adventure companion. He's working hard on his leash manners and can sometimes pull out of excitement. He does well in his crate, protesting for a few minutes before settling into restful bliss. 😴 Murphy is a good boy through and through. He already knows to sit at the door when he needs to go outside to do his business. He enjoys relaxing between bursts of puppy playfulness and adores yummy treats such as peanut butter whenever it's offered. 🤤 If you're looking for a sweet-hearted best friend who brings joy, laughter and companionship into your life, Murphy is patiently waiting to flop his way into your forever home. 💙 **At this time, Murphy has not been tested with cats. Meet Sylvester this Saturday at our Buffalo Rouge Meet & Greet! 🐾 He'll be there from 12–1 PM and would love to meet you. Sylvester is a 2.5-year-old Rottweiler/Chow mix with 68 pounds of personality, adventure, and love. He enjoys other dogs and would do best with a playful companion who matches his energetic play style. He's also good with cats, house trained, and settles well in his crate when left alone. This handsome guy loves sprinklers, long walks, food puzzles, squeaky toys, rolling in the grass, and he's even learning to swim! He's very food motivated, loves mental stimulation, and is happiest when he's included in the fun. 🐾 Adonis update 🐾 We wanted to share a little update on Adonis today. He had his first hip surgery yesterday, and he did great. ❤️ He's now on the mend and will soon be heading home from Vancouver to recover with his amazing foster family. This is just the first of two surgeries, as Adonis will need a second hip replacement in the future. For now, we're focused on helping him rest, heal, and get stronger every day. Please keep Adonis in your thoughts as he begins his recovery journey. And if you're able to contribute toward his surgery and ongoing care, we would be so incredibly grateful. Volvo Cars Kelowna x @pawsitforward Dog of the Month! 🐾 Meet Pudding, a sweet 2-year-old Shepherd mix who recently raised a litter of puppies and is now ready to find a forever family of her own. 61 lbs, medium energy, house trained, crate comfortable, and a huge fan of walks, belly rubs, stuffed animals, and suntanning. Pudding is a gentle, affectionate girl who loves curling up beside her people and carrying her stuffies to bed for snuggles. She’s still building confidence around other dogs and on leash, but improves every day with patience and love. She would thrive in a calm, loving home with a yard to sunbathe in and a cozy couch to cuddle on. Pudding may do best as the only dog or with a calm, well-socialized companion.
