Happy gotcha day to our formerly feral queen, Michelle! Since we don't know how old she is, we celepurrate the day she came to live with us with her three babies; Noodle, Sweetcheeks and Poppet! Michelle has come such a long way in the nine years we've had her - she purrs, she meows, she plays and she sits on people's laps for a fuss! She will be getting purrlenty of fuss and treats from all of us here - especially the much coveted purrthday chicken, although she will have to share it with all of her furriends who live here with her! Today we are wishing Bear & Liquorice a very happy 10th purrthday! Bear and Liquorice are brother and sister, and they came to the cafe with their brother from another mother, Clifford. They're often found hanging out together whilst they have their respective snoozes. Bear is known for her distinctive meow and her love of springs being thrown for her and Liquorice loves a good belly rub and likes to bring toys from the toy boxes for all the cats to play with! They'll be getting lot of fuss and special purrthday treats today! Happy purrthday Bear & Liquorice!

A very happy purrthday to our gorgeous little ginger bum Max, who is turning 11 years old today! Max is as relaxed as a cat can get, whether he's sunning himself in the window, having some cuddles with the team or fast asleep in his lemonade box. As long as he has somewhere comfortable to sleep and a bit of fuss every now and again, he's a happy chap! He will be getting lots of treats and cuddles today! Treat your meowther to a high tea with the kitties at Pause this Meowther's Day! We're offuring a special menu fur all the meowthers out there including a savoury selection of our sandwiches and wraps and a sweet selection of our homemade cakes fur £30 per person. Our high teas come vegetarian as standard but we can cater to vegan and gluten free dietary requirements too! You can purrchase your high tea and book your table on our website! Our regular menu will not be available on the day but we'll still be offering yummy cakes and pastries. We made it! Nine years ago today, Pause opened its doors to welcome all of those who love cats, community and good coffee! You know what they say about cats and nine lives, well we have that and more. We are so proud of another year of looking after our gorgeous group of rescue cats, teaching people about cat welfare and helping those with learning difficulties or disabilities. We wouldn't be able to do any of this without our incredible team of volunteers, who love and care for the cats here as if they were their own. On our ninth annipurrsary, we want to thank each and every one of them for their dediCATion and hard work. Did you know we have a twenty four hour team so someone is always in the building to look after the cats? We also cannot have an annipurrsary without remembering those who have passed over the rainbow bridge. Aunty Anne, Pumpkin and Rooney, who was the inspurration behind Pause, we still love you and miss you every day. Today we're welcoming our gorgeous Petrus to the crew of kitties in double digits as he turns 10 years old! Petrus is well known amongst the team here as one of the cuddliest - and also a duvet hog! Our night team can confurm he's always the first to join you when the duvet goes down and the last one to get up in the morning! Petrus is also affectionately referred to as Puppy by the team here as he was raised with a dog before joining our furmily. He wags his tail and licks people's hands, he's our little puppy cat and he'll be getting purrlenty of fuss and treats from all of us here.
