The Panorama Motorcycle Club had a big weekend hosting a club round of racing and it was the perfect occasion to bring along some good news for the club who will be receiving over $7,000 in funding to purchase some new storage systems and equipment. This is a great club creating a space for motorbike riders of all ages to compete and enjoy the sport they love.

Standing beside a true legend. Nearly two decades on, Peter Brock’s legacy still means so much to motorsport fans right across Australia. The true King of the Mountain.

Congratulations to DHM Pathology on opening their new collection facility in Bathurst today. Their Russell Street space has undergone a major renovation to make it more welcoming and functioning. Pathology services are one of the most important parts of the health system because they help diagnose, monitor and prevent disease. Without them, doctors can’t properly treat what they can’t accurately identify. Importantly, DHM is only covered for three types of blood tests but absorb the cost of any other tests to ensure patients are getting a full service and the best outcomes. And you can now book online to save waiting!

I was ordered out of the Chamber for standing up for regional communities and demanding safer roads. I won’t apologise for fighting for the people of Regional NSW. Regional families are dodging potholes, businesses are being cut off and communities are paying the price for Labor’s neglect. If standing up for safer roads and fair treatment for the regions upsets the government, then I’ll keep doing it every single time. I’ll always fight for my community, no matter the consequences.

Great to catch up with Katherine Wilson and her team at the new Circle Early Learning Childcare Centre at Windradyne in Bathurst. This is a state-of-the-art facility only opened this week in Keightley Avenue and is ideally located to cater for the growth in the new residential subdivision where it’s located. At present there’s 7 fulltime staff employed at Circle Early Learning, but with the recruiting process still ongoing, there’s plenty of room to cater for bigger numbers of children with the potential to cater for up to 89 youngsters with 30 staff at full occupancy. Congratulations to Katherine for this great initiative and investing in the Bathurst region.

What we got today from the NSW Labor Government was more spin and still no clear answers. The Great Western Highway closure at Victoria Pass is now set to go well beyond three months, yet families, businesses and freight operators are still being left in the dark. Nearly 10 weeks on, Labor still has no final solution, no reopening date and no proper business support package. Meanwhile, small businesses are struggling, commuters are stuck in hours of traffic and school children are spending more time on buses than in classrooms. And after all this, Labor thinks giving councils $15,000 for marketing is enough. It’s insulting. If this happened in Sydney, there would have been urgent action from day one. This is not good enough.

Traffic Warning ⚠️ 🔴 Oil Spill - Chifley Road near Hartley Valley Road 👉Eastbound traffic affected. ❌ I can’t believe it when those in the city say the detour only takes an extra 20 minutes. Completely out of touch with what’s really going on. Closure of the road or delays adds hours to a trip . Go to to keep up to date.

Hartley families ignored. It’s now been more than two months since the closure of Victoria Pass and children are still being forced to endure exhausting daily trips just to get to school. What used to be a 5–10 minute drive is now turning into 2–3 hours a day on buses and detours. Little kids are leaving home before sunrise and getting home well after dark. Some are calling their parents in tears from the bus because they’re exhausted and worried about getting home. This is unacceptable. Parents aren’t asking for the world. They’re simply asking for a dedicated school bus from Hartley Valley to local schools which would be a practical solution that would immediately ease the pressure on families. Many parents are saying 👉 Children are suffering exhaustion, stress and learning impacts 👉 Families facing financial strain and isolation 👉 Safety concerns and unreliable transport 👉 Parents are feeling completely ignored by Transport for NSW and the NSW Labor Government If the closure had happened in Sydney, action would have come immediately. Regional families deserve the same attention and support. This Government needs to stop ignoring Hartley families and provide further support immediately. I’ve written to the Premier, Minister for Roads and Minister for Education and provided a workable solution for them on behalf of these families.

Great to drop by Lithgow Landscape & Produce Supplies and see how the team is going. Amy and Rob Collins have run Lithgow Landscape and Produce Supplies for many years now making themselves well known contributors to the local Lithgow community. Even as we chatted there was a string of customers that dropped in to pick up supplies and get advice from the friendly team. Don't forget - they have stacks of firewood available for the winter weather that is on its way.
