The King and Queen buildings have won! Our next meet up is scheduled for Saturday, May 30th from this spot on Johnson Ferry Road for a sunset meet up to shoot the twin towers of the South (or at least Atlanta/Sandy Springs). Put the following address in your GPS for directions, and then look for the 400 overpass (swipe twice for third photo): 860 Johnson Ferry Road Atlanta, GA 30342. Now, where YOU park is up to you, I know where I will park. If you search that area on Google Maps, I’m sure you can figure out a place or two where you MAY be ok, but let’s not advertise it. The sun sets around 8:45, but I would try to be in place around 7:30 or before. As always, these meet ups are free for anyone who wants to come, and it’s open to everyone at any level of interest in photography. If you’re new, this is a great opportunity to network with other photographers in the metro area, and it’s also a good opportunity to experience long exposure photography from a few experts in the genre. I’m going to try to be a bit more active once again in organizing these meet ups. See you there!

SUNSET shoot
Arrive around 7:30pm
GPS: 860 Johnson Ferry Road Atlanta
I was lucky enough to be invited by @boaplazaatl with 9 other photographers/creatives to take a look at the skyline from the 55th floor of their iconic building. It was a bit different shooting from the inside of what’s normally the subject of my skyline shots, or at least a very prominent piece of one. In any case, thanks to Bank of America Plaza for allowing us the opportunity. I know we all enjoyed it and got some great shots!
I do have a question: for a meet up location, which would you prefer to shoot at sunset between the King and Queen buildings, or a traditional Atlanta skyline shot? I’m kind of torn between two locations, but I know it will be a sunset shoot. The date is Saturday, May 30th, so the week after the holiday.
I’ll see what everyone has to say and then make a formal announcement about the location later this week on IG and Facebook.

So, how many of you park across the street at the Home Depot shopping center when you visit Ponce City Market? I just want to make sure that I’m not the only one who’s going to get a boot 😂

When you see this building on screen, you know where the show or movie was filmed 😉

Do you remember when there was a toll on 400? It was only 50 cents, and being from Brooklyn, I didn’t complain. Do you know how much tolls are in the NY/NJ area? 😂 but really 😥 feel sorry for those folks! Anyway, no more tolls here, but still a lot of traffic and a great view. The king and Queen buildings.
