11 years ago we put on a bunch of ridiculous Kiss makeup and played on the street to entertain LA marathon runners… Jodie also ran the marathon that year ( and did well!) congrats to everyone attempting the amazing feat of running the marathon today, and I wish Tony was still alive so we could do this again 💔

Shirley Sjaholm “ Miss Shirley” established Baxter Montessori preschool in 1970 and for the last 56 years it has postively impacted generations of young kids growing up in Los Angeles.
She was smart, no nonsense, and loving.
When I surprised her with a new sign for the school that looked like the old one she didn’t want to have to replace, she surprised me with box seats to a Jets/ Kings game. She is responsible for countless good and foundational experiences to people raising their kids. She also had a law degree and travelled the world regularly. RIP Miss Shirley we feel lucky our child got to go to your school.
