About last weekend:
Did I enter my first Hyrox fitness race? Yes
Did I accidentally enter the pro division instead of the open? Uh huh
Did I frantically try to change my division and consider faking an injury after I saw the real pro athletes? Also, yes.
Did I ache in every fibre of my body for days after the event? Yup
Did I already start planning for my next race… Of course!
It was a blast. It’s inspiring to witness that many people under one roof dedicated to their fitness goals and absolutely crushing it. So great to be there with my lovely wife Kelly who helped keep me calm (In all seriousness, I was really nervous and I probably would have not stuck with it were it not for her encouragement).
Huge shoutout to the @oneacademylife team for bringing the cheer section and big thx to @oa_jbruce , @coachhyroxspider , @leijoyce1000 and @robbymoss_ who offered encouraging words during the race that helped keep spirits up and blood pressure down.
