The collection "Closest to You" visualizes the
relationship and tension between people and their
clothing. It reflects how people feel when they wear
clothing and describes the interactions between
bodies, garments, emotions, and identities. Clothing is
understood as an extension of the self, it is our stylistic
and cultural shell. At the same time, it serves as our
canvas for expressing values, memories, interests, and
emotions. The cultural and social significance of
clothing is particularly visible in youth cultures, where
it serves as a form of expression and an indicator of
identity. Inspirations for the collection therefore come
from the youth cultures of the 1980s, specifically Punk
and Straight Edge.
