An intimate moment made to last - Paul Barsch & Matti Gajek explore the eternity of an embrace for Gajek’s new single „Until It Was No More“. Suspended in digital amber two strangers share an impossible connection: a cut will have to be made. We stay with them in the infinity of a split second, dwelling in the kind of immortality that all great love stories agree must be given up if you want to live. Maybe the party is over. Maybe there is hope in that too. The video invites us to an audiovisual meditation on holding on and letting go. The cut, when it comes, will be a relief as well. Loss and hope, grief and freedom, allowing new relations and movements, being gentle while letting the future in. Cutting together apart.
