Picked up a KTM 1290 Super Adventure R last week. Iām hitting my nerdy old man stage early š Took it up near Zion after work today and did some exploring. This thing is such a great time. Iāve had this bad girl 11 years now. Sheās never left me stranded. She has taken more beatings than I can count. Engine temp has reached 260+ more times than I can count. Ran the rubicon again last weekend. Had an awesome group. Had about 15 rigs this year. Last year we had 6 or 7. The wheeling was awesome. The camping was awesome. The people were the best. We spent about 3 days on the trail. Christianās CJ6 ended up getting debris in the fuel injectors and we had to tow it from a little before buck island all the way out the end of the trail. Definitely put a damper on the trip for some of us but still was a good time and next year will be better. I tried the soup bowl for the first time and got close but got denied. If the Jeep had lockers it definitely would have made it. Other than the CJ no one really had any issues and everything went smooth. Canāt wait to go again next year.
