This is @yeahailey Patti’s daughter. 🕊️Patti passed peacefully at home Wednesday evening. I deliver this news to her fans with great sadness. I very much know how much she meant to each one of you in your own special way. Weather you got to spend time with her in person or admired her skateboarding images from a far. All these years she had been inspiring and touching the lives of so many in our community and absolutely adores her skateboarding family 🛹✨Patti’s legacy will live on though us everyday when we skate. It’s been five years since THERE GOES PATTI MCGEE was released.
When I decided I wanted to write a book about Patti I knew her story was exciting and incredible and children would love to learn about her, which they do, what I didn’t know was that I was going to make a friend.
Patti was fun and funny and sweet and joyful and caring and thoughtful and cool! She was totally cool! And because she was kind, she had so many friends. She had a way of looking you in the eyes when she talked to you and making you feel like you were the most important person there.
