I donāt usually go for styles that donāt have any waist definition but something kept drawing me to the Aida dress by @tessutifabrics
This asymmetric design is designed for 2 contrast fabrics which again is not something Iām usually keen on but when @patternsandplains had this Linz viscose twill in polka dots in 2 different scales the idea came to life.
This gorgeous fabric is such high quality and also comes in a turquoise colourway. I used both scales of the print to bring this pattern to life and itās the perfect summer dress.
I didnāt realise the hem was asymmetric and was originally going to level it but I think Iāll keep it as it is.
We just need the sun to return to Yorkshire now please!

If you've been following me long you'll know pattern matching fabric is my FAVE thing to do and this dress needed lining up across a whopping SEVENTEEN places š 6 skirt seams, 2 bodice and 2 sleeve side seams, across the 2 front armholes, 2 waist darts, across the front bodice and 2 partial matches vertically (front and back). And if that wasn't enough work I cut the placket and collar on the bias.
Do you think its giving more 1950s or 1990s vibes?
