Curious about working together?
Here’s a little overview of what I offer and how it all connects 🪡
Not sure where to start ~ DM me, I’d love to chat and we can figure it out together :)
Story Time :) Part 2 of 3
•••
The bit that got missed; before I landed in Hong Kong, I did a yoga teacher training. Part of me hoped to start a yoga career at this point, alas the Gods had other plans 😆
The move to Hong Kong may seem random, but part of me had always wanted to live in the East/ China as I am half Chinese and always wondered what it would be like to live on the land I originate from.
I have to say I felt at home straight away…like a deep sense of belonging in my bones. I felt really accepted there (by the land) which I hadn’t felt before 🥰
This vid is also more of my personal perspective and reflections from moving to another country and the enquiries it sparked in me ✨
Another bit to add (cos there is so much it’s hard to condense it); when living in China, I started studying Ayurvedic digestion and nutrition to become a qualified Ayurvedic digestion and nutrition consultant. Learning about myself and food through energy was a huge stepping stone in healing my disordered eating 🙏🏻
That was the start of continuing my studies in hypnotherapy, somatic thearpy and energy psychology 🤓 I am a bit of a geek after all who loves patterns; whether that’s in making clothes or understanding unconscious patterns…I’m here for it ❤️🔥
I’ve been developing a wide leg trouser block to teach you and here is fitting No.2 👆🏻

How I became a pattern cutter and somatic hypnotherapist…💭
I’ve never shared this story before, but thought it might help give you some insight into what has led me here today 🫶🏻

Part 1 Themes 👇🏻
My first job at Victoria Beckham
Horrible mental health
Disordered eating
….& what I decided to do the break the pattern!
I should also add that I’m so grateful for my first job at Victoria Beckham as I learnt the foundations of everything I know today there. I had an amazing mentor who I will forever be thankful to for imparting his pattern cutting wisdom onto me 💞 if you ever read this Kwantae, thank you 🫶🏻
In the background amongst the busyness of life (who else is feeling it?!) I’ve developing a trouser block course to teach you :) Here’s fitting no.1!
It’s a wide leg, high waist kinda gal! And we did the all important squat test 👌🏻
A few tweaks to make, and the second toile fitting is on its way ✨ feeling good about where this is heading!

My three favourite tools in the studio for accurate patterns📏
A pattern ruler
Mechanical pencil with 2H led
A tape measure with cm’s on each side (cos this girl don’t do inches 😆)
The tools I recommend to get you started :)
Here’s the thing 👉🏻 you become friends with your tools through consistent use. And a great place to start is drafting a dress block. It gives you the perfect opportunity to practise freehand curves; necklines & armholes, while making a pattern built entirely to your measurements.
Your foundation for everything you make from that point on :)
Come join my beginners pattern cutting weekend, 28th + 29th March in Brighton 👗

My mannequin ☝🏻
She’s perfectly proportioned through bust, waist and hips. 📐
After 13 years in high-end fashion taking model measurements, I can tell you that body is incredibly rare.
Yet it’s the body most of our clothes are made for.
The problem was never your body. It was always the standardised chart 📏
This is exactly why I love teaching the dress block course, because we build a pattern for your body, not a hypothetical one. The result? Clothes that actually fit :)
If your looking for clothes that fit better, and to learn some new pattern cutting skills, then come join the dress block weekend course at the end of the month, link in bio 🌟
(A few spaces left)
If your clothes don’t feel like you anymore, it’s likely not a style problem, it’s an identity one. Swipe to see what I mean :)
If this resonated and you’d like to help me develop it, I’d love you to be part of the beta 🤍 send me a DM today 💞
