Australia Pt. 4/4 - The Last Suppers
Bumped my departure date to make extra time for: oceans and rivers and pools, fancy meals in fancy clothes, birds?, quidditch beers, friendships on the beach, and a lil baby tat. TL;DR: Nice. I’ll be back.
Australia Pt. 3 - The KangaRusical
At this point we’re settled, emotionally bonded to our housemate, and living our vidas locas. We have our favorite Thai place on speed dial, know which coffee shops offer the best ambiance and how to work (and repair) a pissy pool filter. We’re going to galleries; we’re in love with a straight bartender. It’s still hard to stream season 16 of drag race, but nevertheless we persist. TL;DR: vibe.
Australia Pt. 2 - Escape to Tasmania
I thought a solo side quest to an Ohio-shaped island on the other side of the world felt right. Here I clocked 20k step days to Robyn’s Body Talk Trilogy, got lost in a botanical garden, met retirees from rural Indiana (?), ate oysters with a drag queen, and watched a robotic artpiece take a shit. All in all—I didn’t die, I had crystallized. And now I’m a glamazon bitch ready for the northern hemisphere.

New Ink Reveal / Bday Dump.
I fucked around and found some peace this year. Got a new tat thanks to @tatdroool ; a reminder to take better care of myself (turn phone 90* 🔂👀🌷).
35 taught me to play tourist in a city I lived in for 6 years. It dropped a home in my lap that I bought on a whim and a vision. It forced me to take both stock and responsibility for my energy. It unlocked routines that made me feel good, hot, sexy, and fly. And it offered a moment to reconnect with the things and people that inspire me. Not bad.
Big shout out to sister-from-another-continent @jessicadimcevski for enabling the fun these past 2 weeks. ❤️
