I spent 9 intense days last month following VIA Race from Giovinazzo to Innsbruck, living out of a tiny Fiat 500 just to stay close to the race (yes, it does work as a bedroom 😂).
While the riders were pushing through fatigue, navigation, sleep deprivation and mechanical issues with zero support, we in the media team had our own challenges like no sleep, long drives, no comfort and the pressure of delivering the job.
But despite all that, I'm taking home some amazing memories, good laughs with a wild community, and a reminder of just how much beauty there is to see on the road.
At some point, I actually felt like joining the VIA Race myself next year... but then remembered I'm not that crazy anymore 😂
