Still processing this one. Last month, Stuft Open Jam Tuesday took home Best Open Mic in Hampton Roads at the Veer Awards. And this week, Hampton, City Council recognized us-alongside fellow Veer Award winners Victorian Station ‘The Big Pink’ and The Vanguard Brewpub & Distillery-with the Council Spotlight Award for our contributions to Hampton’s music scene. That kind of recognition means a lot. Not just for me, but for what Open Jam Tuesdays has grown into. Week after week, I see strangers walk in and end up sharing the stage - trading songs, backing each other up, collaborating and teaching one another. It’s a beautiful thing to watch and I’m consistently honored to have a hand in fostering that environment. I take a lot of pride in the work it takes to keep something like this going and growing. But it only matters because of the people who show up - the musicians, the crowd, familiar faces and first timers finding their way in. Casey, Katie, Alex & Susan - I love y’all so much man, y’all have no idea how grateful I am for you, personally and on behalf of all the local musicians who’ve gotten opportunities to grow because of the amazing things that happen on the stage at Stuft - THANK YOU 🙏❤️🎶 Much love to Victorian Station ‘The Big Pink’ & The Vanguard Brewpub & Distillery - it’s an honor to be recognized with y’all and can’t wait to see what the three best places for live music in Hampton can collaborate on this year ;) Really grateful for this moment 🙏

Good times at the Port Warwick Summer Concert Series this week! Thank y’all so much for spending your evening with us 😃

Spent the day helping others with the @wavynews10 team and community partners for the annual #Nexstar Founders Day of Caring. This year we had the honor of helping out 2 foster families in Hampton Roads. My team was hard at work today in Hampton setting up one family’s backyard for summer fun for their 5 kids! Huge thank you to Window King of America for donating a new trampoline and basketball hoop for the kids, Crusberg Fence for taking out an old chain link fence and replacing it with a brand new secure privacy fence and gate, Strickland Outdoor Solutions for spending the day clearing the space in the yard, cleaning up and providing new flower beds, and Mike & Blake’s Sheds for getting the plans in place to build a storage shed built for the family! Special shoutout to my amazing coworkers at wavy for taking this day to give back together, couldn’t be more proud to be a part of this team! #nexstarfdoc2025 #wavyfdoc #nexstarnation
