Very nearly a year now (338 days) since I stopped the booze. 🥃 and what a year it’s been. Everything has changed, there’s no magic to it, it’s still hard, life is still as challenging but I’m more able, more present. I’ve stayed on track and I’m slowly becoming the person I’ve set out to be. No more hangovers, no more extreme anxiety, no more hiding. I used to dread having a job abroad, the airport, it was hell. I’m rewiring the whole system and it’ll take some time but I’m already seeing the changes, conversation’s and social situations are ok now, I’ve realised I can hold a decent conversation without out it. Slowly but surely, the journey continues and I’m forever grateful to my little family for being right there. Have a great day and I hope if you’re struggling then you can get the help you need.
