Soo missing the high desset right now! Ranch trail POV. Not much super exciting right now until we're out there full time. There's not a whole lot of elevation so we'll definitely be building a roll in, and with bridging I can play with grades to increase speed and flow. Pretty solid start tho for a total 8hrs of work. Just the beginning!

First trail and wood feature at the ranch! We got lucky and found an old road or cattle run, that almost perfectly bisected our property from one corner to the other. With a little clean up it was ready to ride. We also built the first wood feature over part of a long sandy section, this will be extended to cover all of it eventually. Trying to keep this trail as rideable both ways so we have a way back up to the top. Long term plan is to connect this with a perimeter trail we'll build around the ranch to create a figure 8 of sorts. Then build all kinds of trails branching off of it that end on the perimeter trail, and you can ride back to the top.

Mission accomplished! We now have an entrance/driveway, and temporary gate for our ranch. Well sort of, the entire drive is over 600' long, but at least we have a gated entrance, and part of a drive. Lessons learned, always get the bigger machine. While the little tractor that could did the job ok, having more power and a larger bucket would have been nice. Ideally a skid steer is what I needed, but I needed to dig holes for the posts too.
Either way we're really exited to have this first step done.
We're going to start putting in a driveway at our ranch tomorrow. This is the first step that needs to be done, then we can get an official address with Apache Co. Pictures never do any justice to the remoteness of where we are, and the contrast of the high desert with the White Mountains in the distance.
Throwback post to around 2003 or so of me riding this huge interconnected wood feature my buddies and I built. It had elevated berms, skinnies, ladder bridges, and a teeter totter. If you know where to look you can see it on Google Earth imagery.
I can not wait to start building things like this again on our ranch in Arizona.
Rebuilding Highline Express focusing on adding support in the corners, establishing lines of sights at the intersections and adding some funny air time while keeping things rollable. Stoked to be able to bring progressive trail to KC thanks to support from @zloehr@patrickmcq@k.c.bobcat@urbantrailco
