"Stickler" is a band from Cleveland, Ohio fronted by singer-songwriter Patrick McGuan. The debut single "Cowboys and Indians" will be available on music streaming platforms beginning next Friday, April 17th, 2026. It will also include the track "The Air I Breathe."
Special thanks to @trstn_laith for producing and mastering this project. Album art is by Samm Grass, who is also featured on drums. Bass guitar was handled by @maxbbenincasa and additional guitars were performed by @thesearefallcolors . Words and music are by Patrick McGuan, who also performed vocals and rhythm guitar. Met up with Patrick F. McGuan, a musician/student about to begin the digital humanities program at CSU. It was great getting coffee and talking with him about his interest in history, music, and local stories. Patrick grew up in South Euclid and Shaker Heights and now lives in the Coventry area. He works at Heinen’s in University Heights and says he enjoys it.
I was listening to Prefab Sprout, and Patrick had been listening to Neil Young. We decided to each stream the other’s last listen later in the day.
Thanks to Patrick for the great conversation. I’m looking forward to seeing where his career takes him. I got a photo of him at one of the best spots in the city, the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument in Cleveland Public Square.
