My 2025, wrapped.
It’s been a life changing year for me. So many new people are appreciating my work, and I’m incredibly grateful. Thanks for tapping in. Huge thank you to all the artists I worked with this year, especially my friends @whatmoreeee for making this year so memorable.
There’s much more to say. But we got more work to do. Much more to come.
Go to werk
2026 been an extremely important growth period so far. Lots of new challenges as I grow and scale a creative business while keeping true to myself and making the best work possible. Extremely grateful for the amazing community around the world I get to make things with. So honored to borrow the time talents and energy from some of the best creatives this place has to offer. If we have worked together, thank you. If we haven’t, let’s tap in and build together.
Much more to come.
Three things I’ve learned in the last year about making videos:
1. Characters can carry
Write people you know, who you’ve met. There’s plenty of comedy, drama, intrigue in the people directly in your circle. And then cast those people. They’re the best people to play the part. They won’t even have to act. Don’t overthink it. With good characters and a great cast the story will soar.
2. Vision is everything, image is not
It doesn’t matter what kind of camera is used or how many lights are on set if there’s no vision from the director. The image can look beautiful but if there’s no substance, no reason to care, then the work falls flat. Focus less on the mechanism and more on the meaning. Build story then build the image.
(Quote stolen from a Dominic Fike song)
3. Everyone starts with nothing
The most poppin directors/dps/producers that I look up to started with $300 dollar budgets and a dream, asking favors of everyone they know. Everyone worked for free or crap rates. If I’m making great stuff and sticking with it, we will grow together. Build a team, make great work, and start to convince more and more people to budget more and more money. The intern I connect with at the label becomes the creative director, and we get to keep working together. As the tides rise we all go together.
Lots more to learn in the upcoming year.
