Cohort two is now in session… Last year, @theoriginalthirdy , @ariannnnacruz and myself founded the Key Leadership Program, Indy’s first civic engagement and professional development program specifically for the Asian + Asian American community. To say it’s something I’m proud to be a part of would be an understatement; helping launch this thing has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. A younger version of me would not believe I’d be a part of something like this, let alone proud of it. Not only that, but that version of me would be flabbergasted to know I actually *shocked face* embraced being Asian in the first place *audible gasp* And yet, here I am. And that younger version of me is still me. I’m just a different, more whole version of that person. And I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of this community. [and I couldn’t stand to use less ‘and’ at the start of my sentences 🤷🏻‍♂️] Shout out to Ephraim and Arianna, the architects of this whole thing. Shout out to cohort one for staying tapped in.
