👑🇬🇧Continued from my previous reel… we had the privilege to meet HRH King Charles III, while officiating the opening of @eastbrookstudioslondon 🎬🎥 The day was a great success, both as an event and an actual shoot. Being sniffed about by the Royal security dog while lighting the set with house lights on was a treat. 😉🦮🐾 Congratulations to both Royal staff and crew for doing great work together during preparations. We also received a Royal applause from HRH which was a nice surprise. 😊 👏🏼👏🏼 He watched us film a whole oner, which was also a surprise and fun to put my Amazing Race operating skills back in action - just go! 🏃🏻‍♀️🎥 ( …and I know the Easyrig is lopsided on me… I didn’t want to hit him in the head with arm. It was also too big for me as most rental shops don’t actually stock women’s models or small sizes. No mansplanning! ) A great day indeed, a success on all accounts. And I’d safely say King Charles also enjoyed being with us having fun! Collaboration is my favourite part of this journey, and we certainly did on a recent project titled The Lonely Hunter. 👏🏼 Together we shaped and drew out the story through dance, light and movement. Miyabi Community hosted a special screening of Cottontail at Chiswick Cinema - an exceptional evening celebrating Japanese cinema and cross-cultural dialogue. We were honoured to welcome director Patrick Dickinson for an in-depth Q&A, led by Lynne, whose thoughtful questions brought new perspective to the film’s emotional and cultural depth. We were especially privileged to host Minister Shuji Maeda of the Embassy of Japan, whose presence and participation elevated the evening and reminded us of the importance of cultural exchange through film. Cottontail. A great memory from 15 February 2025. Screenings and Q&A session at @phoenix_cinema A Japanese-British drama directed by Patrick Dickinson(@patrickinemaaa ). Kenzaburo (Lily Franky) embarks on a journey to Lake Windermere in England to fulfill his wife’s wish of scattering her ashes there. I felt that the story was told with minimal words, unfolding gently yet seriously, with scenes where the adults grow in their own ways and experience a unique form of family love.
