Firefighters wear hazmat suits while inspecting tanker cars during a chlorine leak trench training exercise with the Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority (ACTA) to prepare for an industrial accident or disaster in Compton, California, on March 22, 2026. The multi-agency response gathered more than 150 personnel from Los Angeles area fire and law enforcement agencies, Union Pacific Railroad, BNSF Railway, and the ACTA as preparations of critical infrastructure continue ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and 2028 Summer Olympics.
