My third album, Made You Look, is out July 24th. It’s a record about paying closer attention.
This album documents a surreal sequence of my life - coming of a certain age, entering fatherhood. I hit altitude at record speed these last two years, and the way I view the world around me has dramatically changed. You’re not expected to see this kind of season clearly while you’re in it. Making this record helped me take a closer look.
So much to unpack, and so many songs I can’t wait for you to hear. A special crew of people helped me bring this to life.
For now, we start where I’m at — Back In My Body. I took the long way, but it’s okay.
Thanks for being here with me. 🫂

When I moved to Nashville ten years ago, Vince Gill was one of the first people to hang his arm around my shoulder. We wrote “I Cried All The Way To Memphis” together a few years back, and it came out this week - the same night Back In My Body dropped. I got back to the Airbnb in LA after the show, still buzzing unable to settle, and then heard the finished version for the first time. Surreal. I’m deeply proud of this one. There are people who shape you just by the way they move through the world, and Vince is one of them for me. He turned it into a classic the way only he can. @iammaggierose gave a beautiful performance, and a special shout to my brother @fredeltringhamdrummer for the deep groove that holds the whole thing together. 🫂
