* I met Doug over 30 years ago when I was working at an art framing shop in Park Slope, Brooklyn. He came in to get some of his art framed and I immediately fell in love with his work. The abstract movement, the color, the depth, the technique. He called them his “Emotional Weather Reports.” I also fell in love with Doug’s quick wit, raw intelligence and naughty sense of humor. He was warm and honest and funny as hell. We lost touch over the years but were reunited on social media where I found him still making these amazing abstract pieces... I am a fan
I was sitting in meditation one morning earlier this month and the thought came to me “it would be amazing to collaborate with Doug…”
I texted him my thoughts and within 3 days I had 4 of his paintings in my hands. I am grateful and honored by his openness, generous spirit and trust. Give Thanks
