This is just a taste of the amazing work designed by Frank G. Neely that I had the pleasure to collaborate on and build. Such an amazing talent and such a great friend. 22 years of working together. Tragically cut short a year ago today. Hug your friends and tell them how much you care about them. You can until you can’t.

Tonight I enjoy my last fire on our back porch. Not because winter is ending or I am out of wood. Today we sold our home. I have had the pleasure to live in my third home designed by Frank Neely. He and his firm are so incredibly talented. They always amaze me how they labor over every last detail. It is a very bittersweet last fire. I will miss coming home to this beautiful masterpiece. All of the custom trim details. I will miss looking at all of the amazing finishes that my lovely wife Trish and my sister Andrea Bloomer #the.gathered.room curated. They combined many of our cherished family pieces with new found items that perfectly fit our style.
We decided to engage Marc Mauldin to capture the beauty of our home. He did not disappoint. It is amazing how a true artist is able to take something that is beautiful and take it to a whole new level on a photographic canvas.
I have had the help of so many talented craftsmen to create this home.
Tonight as I sit by this fire, I feel like the luckiest man alive.
We sold our home, with the help of Janey Lowe, to a delightful couple. We have become immediate friends. They have a young family and I am quite confident that they will cherish this home as much as my family has.
They feel like one of our customers and one of our family.
Tomorrow morning I will wake up and move on to the next project. I will sleep well tonight knowing that I am one of the luckiest men alive. I am surrounded by a great family, many very talented professionals, and some of the best customers in the world. Cheers.
