“Somewhere Off Of Hawthorn Drive” was written in dedication to my incredible parents and my childhood home. Whenever I return to Iowa, there’s always a feeling of comfort to that final turn on to Hawthorn Drive. I wanted to catch some of that warmth and magic in this piece.

I’m so excited to have partnered with @universalpm_us and @riotgamesmusic to reimagine this @leagueoflegends anthem in honor of it’s 15 year anniversary for #worlds2025 #lolesports
When making this, I wanted to make sure that the original theme was still very much at the heart of the arrangement, while also allowing the music to develop into something new and massive.

I haven’t written anything just for fun and educational purposes in a while! Yesterday I took some time to a. work on editing my template and b. was deeply inspired by a cue called “Finding Food” that @nikhilkmusic and Lorne Balfe had done on the newest Life On Our Planet. Nikhil shared this with me a few months ago and I was absolutely blown away by his pacing, orchestration, and the way he weaves his thematic material throughout the orchestra. Obviously I added my own flare, but I certainly enjoyed letting some of Nikhil’s music guide me yesterday—
