We had the pleasure to make our first Short Doc, following the story of Maria Petrero (a Move Conmigo alumni) and how Move Conmigo has impacted her as she moves forwards in life.

In February of 2024, I had the opportunity to help share the story of a dear friend of mine as apart of a series in the Midwest Broken Mirror Project: an exploration of how culture, race, environment, identity, trauma & ability all intersect to affect our relationship with our body image.
This was a heavy one, all the participants of this series intentionally allowed themselves to be vulnerable within a system that has continuously showed them that vulnerability isn’t safe. So I just wanted to say how proud I am of Kayla for sharing her story and hopefully helping others who have similar experiences to not feel alone.
And a big big big thank you to all my friends who helped create a space for Kayla’s story 🧡
