It was fun to return to the Main Line Animal Rescue Tails & Trails event in Chester Springs, PA!
After a few years away due to Covid, and scheduling conflicts, we were excited to reconnect with the community at this popular annual event supporting the Pennsylvania SPCA’s Main Line Animal Rescue last year, and returned to participate again this year. The event brought together hundreds of runners, walkers, animal lovers, and their four-legged companions for a morning focused on health, wellness, and animal welfare.
While this year’s “rain or shine” event unfortunately came with chilly temperatures and steady drizzle, that didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. Our bundled-up team powered through the adverse weather and enjoyed being part of the day again this year.
The atmosphere was lively and festive from start to finish, filled with wagging tails, barking dogs, smiling faces, and a shared passion for caring for both pets and people. The event seems to grow each year, with more than 500 runners, over 100 dogs, vendors, music, food, and supporters from across the region participating in the festivities this year.
Despite the weather challenges, we loved being part of Tails & Trails once again and hope our schedule allows us to return in 2027, hopefully with a little more sunshine!

At Lincoln Elementary School in Bethlehem, PA, nearly half of fourth and fifth-graders started the year needing extra literacy support. Today, thanks to an innovative reading program and support from Patient First, those students are gaining more than skills– they are building confidence, connection, and a love of reading.
The school’s “Lunch Bunch” program offers a welcoming space during the day where students can read, talk, and grow together. By eliminating barriers like after-school transportation, it ensures every student can participate. In this relaxed setting, students explore books they are excited about, making reading feel engaging and enjoyable.
A donation from Patient First helped bring the program to life, providing students with books to keep and build their own home libraries. That access matters since students with books at home are more likely to practice and strengthen their skills over time.
At Patient First, we are proud to partner with schools like Lincoln Elementary to support programs that make a lasting difference, helping students grow academically while discovering new passions along the way.
Is There A Doctor In The House? There might just be one at Evergreen Avenue Elementary School in Woodbury, NJ. It is there where curiosity is coming into focus – literally.
Thanks to a donation from Patient First, the school’s Science Club now has new, high-quality microscopes that are transforming how 4th and 5th grade students explore science. The upgraded tools allow students to observe slides and everyday objects up close, turning simple questions into exciting discoveries. The Science Club has likely inspired future doctors, scientists, engineers and educators, plus a whole lot more with its focus on STEM activities at the elementary school level.
“Self-discovery helps keep students’ interest in science,” said Science Club advisor Ms. Melissa Boas. “Discovering and observing something firsthand creates a long-term memory and love for science. It is great to see these young minds enjoying the hands-on science-related activities our club provides.”
The new equipment has reduced technical frustrations and increased exploration time, helping students feel more confident using real scientific tools, and even begin to see themselves as scientists and in other STEM-related careers. Engagement has grown as students eagerly search for new objects to examine, sparking curiosity and critical thinking skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
Principal Dr. Jason Vivadelli said “We are so thankful to have Patient First as a neighbor and community partner, and for its many years of generous support for our school and our students. Their commitment helps make meaningful learning opportunities like this, and so many other activities possible at our school.”
Each year Patient First proudly supports local schools and invests in programs like this that inspire young minds, strengthen communities, and encourage the next generation of thinkers, problem-solvers, and innovators.
On January 13, Patient First was invited for the second time to participate in the Family Health & Wellness Night at Harmony Hills Elementary School in Silver Spring.
The event was designed to provide families with valuable information and resources from local businesses and government agencies that support the community’s health and well-being. We are grateful for the invitation and look forward to participating again next year!
Patient First had a fantastic day at the Jewish Community Center in Allentown! It was great to be back for their “Super Sunday” event which had become a legacy event for us, and one we’ve supported since 2017. Each year it just keeps growing, it seems, and this one didn’t disappoint.
All in all, Super Sunday 2026 was another great success for us!
