APRIL, GOD did not leave me. He didn’t only held me by His wonderful hands, He took every steps with me. APRIL, I participated in two group exhibition. APRIL, My works were exhibited at the SILENT CONNECTIONS exhibition at Omofemi Oluwole studio/Gallery. APRIL, my works were exhibited at the RESONANCE:15 truths Art exhibition at One Art gallery. The exhibition is still ongoing. APRIL, I was the lead curator for one of the biggest art exhibition, of 620 works by 62 different artists. APRIL, I travelled to about 4 different Cities . APRIL, I picked wires in other states. APRIL, I visited 3 Art Galleries. APRIL, I met some new people and artists. APRIL, I got materials( wires and cables from where and people I never expected). APRIL, I was stressed. APRIL, I did late night works, had little sleep and lots of deadlines. APRIL,I attended exhibition. APRIL, I met a lot of people I’ve never seen in person but got to know me because of my wire works. APRIL, I learnt new things. APRIL, my uncle proposed to his fiancé, and I made a portrait drawing of her APRIL, I got less/ minimal support. APRIL, I lived. APRIL,God didn’t leave me. APRIL, I SURVIVED. My Art champions sustainability, strength, and the resilience of African communities. Every act of creation is first of all an act of destruction. Using recycled electronic cables, I craft intricate compositions that highlight the importance of environmental accountability. My works are both image and statement where sustainability and identity converge within the language of contemporary African Art. Each piece tells a unique story, imbuing my work with emotional depth and significance. By transforming electronic waste into art, I promote recycling, sustainability, and a ‘waste-to-wealth’ narrative, inspiring a more environmentally conscious future. Every day, we produce thousands of tons of waste; empty bins, bottles, plastic bags, electronic wastes from constructions, gadgets, household appliances and others. We live in an age where production and consumption are carried out at a terrifying speed but the waste from this production and consumption cannot be recycled at the same speed. I tell stories with the obsolete materials, giving them new lives they’ve lost. I will be exhibiting in the show “Resonance: 15 Truths,” which opens on Saturday, April 25, 2026, and will run until May 30, 2026, at One Art Gallery.
