Path with Art fosters the restoration of individuals, groups, and society from the effects of trauma through arts engagement & community-building.
🎨🤝
Imagine what the world could look like if everyone were able to access the tools and resources needed for emotional processing through creative self-expression.
When our society creates art as a remedy, we create real, lasting change.
Music is more than a catchy hook to belt out in the car or a gentle melody to sway along with in a crowd — it’s an evidence-based creative activity that can reduce stress and depression, and alter behaviors and thinking patterns.
Music is art, and art creates health.
We’ve been at the forefront of integrating arts as a remedy for 18 years. Join us in creating health for everyone at the link in bio.
Connect with like-minded art enthusiasts, dig deeper into insights about the intersections of healing and art, and decompress in a creative third space this month at our upcoming events!

Art is an essential tool in healing trauma. Research affirms its ability to strengthen psychological resilience by altering neural pathways. đź§
Every day, we see people's lived experiences bring that science to life. Participant artists like B use art to learn new tools to navigate tricky situations in life, helping her get unstuck.
We’re working hard to increase access to the healing power of art, from getting it in the hands of individuals to changing our health systems. Will you help us create health during Mental Health Awareness Month?
For us, Mental Health Awareness Month is all about sharing the power of art to create health.
In 2025, Johns Hopkins examined the effects of Path with Art’s programming on individual and social connection. The results are profound:
90.3% of participants improved their self-efficacy
88.3% of participants improved their mental health
80.6% of participants reported reduced loneliness
So join us! All month long, create art. Support artists. Advocate for art as a remedy. And, if you're able, donate to make arts-based healing accessible for all who need it.
Let us know in the comments👇🏻: How are you creating health this month?
It's Mental Health Awareness Month, and at Path with Art, we're creating health every day through the healing power of art.
Listen, we want to be real with you: The world is heavy. We feel its weight, too.
Mental health needs across communities are at an all-time high. The systems meant to support us are under extraordinary strain. For too many people, they were never enough to begin with.
Mental health is complex, as is its care. It's also something that we learn more about all the time — including the ways in which we have the power to shape our own health.
Increasingly, science is backing up something that many of us have intuitively known: art is a remedy.
When we create art, we create health. And when our society prioritizes art as a remedy, we create real, lasting change.
After 18 years of creating art-based healing, we're bringing what we know to be true to the systems level to get the remedy into the hands of all who need it.
Will you join us? 🎨🫟

A new art exhibition is in the air 🌸 Join Path with Art for the opening reception of our Spring Visons Exhibition: Material Rhythms!
Created by our Participant Artists over the last quarter, these artworks reflect the interconnected movement from season to season. They exist as moments within a larger cycle, shaped by the passing of seasons and the shifting energy that comes with them. These pieces invite us to slow down, to notice the materials that surround us, and to recognize the ways creativity grows from the environments and communities we are part of.
Come celebrate with us at the opening reception on Thursday, April 23rd from 5-7 pm at the artHOME! RSVP at the link in bio.

Last night, Path with Art’s Participant Artists put their all into creating an incredible Showcase—filled with choirs, podcasting, and live performances. Around the auditorium, art pieces on the wall highlighted months of creative work from our visual arts classes. We are very grateful for all those who joined us last night, including our community of Teaching Artists and volunteers, SAM visitors, and most especially our participants who stepped on stage to share their art with all of us.
Special thanks to SAM @seattleartmuseum for opening your doors once again for our Showcase!
