In Episode 81, we returned to the UK with @pathogenicvirulence ! What we thought to be interesting, though, is how both @decrypt05 and @daliniordache both ended up being from Romania, the country of origin for more recent session Artist/guest @insanitydeificationbtdm , in which Filip from ID also plays in @necrotum and @chaos.insignia !
Their newest record “Scourged”, out through @brutalmind.worldwide , we had Vocalist Radu Vulpe help us lyrically dissect for what themes would be present for The operation, and truly this was a session to remember! I miss talking to these guys!

"On the last day of the year, during the last afternoon of December 2024 I am listening to the latest offering by UK based Brutal Slam savages PATHOGENIC VIRULENCE entitled 'Scourged'.
On this, their follow up to 'Submerged Into Non-Existence' they have sharpened their patented onslaught with a sense of precision musicianship that informs the focused and ferocious tech infused Brutal Death Metal on offer.
Throughout this album one is treated to a far darker, more brutal and technically crafted collection of songs compared to that which constructed 'Submerged Into Non-Existence'.
'Scourged' is relentless; a veritable freight train of skull crushing riffs, rhythms and blistering drumming that asserts a stranglehold over ones being with oppressive intent.
I find that the Slam elements have, to an extent been sacrificed for a thick froth of Brutal Death Metal. Slam tropes still do abound during 'Scourge'. Pathogenic Virulence are essentially a Brutal Slam band yet 'Scourged' must be applauded and praised for its far more punishing and technical direction.
From pummeling opening track 'The Pit Of Primordial Ooze' to the cranium crunching 'Cephalic Insemination', the grisly 'Ruptured Orifices' and propulsive closing track 'Guttural Suppuration', including the remaining five pieces of scorching savagery that makes up 'Scourged', every song on here is a high caliber display of Technical Slamming Brutal Death Metal.
In its entirety 'Scourged' cannot be faulted. The heightened focus on technical acumen borne manifest as monstrous Brutal Death Metal is a sonic manoevre that I applaud of wholeheartedly.
Pathogenic Virulence are Brutal Slam entity and excel at what they do, their latest album is emblematic of this as is the fact that stagancy does not inform theit craft. Great face-smashing fun! "
