Marvel Eternals!
This was such an amazing show to work on. We were there very early when the scripts were still being written and had an opportunity to visualize each of the scenes with the internal art department before it was either physically made or handed off to VFX.
Most of our work on this is therefore very quick. We did many variations and itterations as the script changed daily.
We have a lot more to show from this film that we will be posting over the next few weeks.
The work of our founder Jort van Welbergen was also heavily featured in the Eternals Art Book so definitely pick up a copy if you haven't already!

Foundation Season 3 has been out on Apple TV for a bit and we couldn't wait any longer to share our contribution to it.
Our Art Director Daniel Mcgarry made these concepts for the Novacula. He focussed on finding foldable structures that could wrap around the black hole, working on many variations for the art director to pick from. The final VFX design seen in the film is slightly different but some parts of Daniel's work are clearly still visible.

Castles and dragons, a dream come true.
Being huge fans of the Game of Thrones franchise it was a real honor for us to be asked to contribute to it's succesor House of the Dragon.
For this show we concepted Storms End, the location of an epic standoff at the end of the first season. Our task was to visualize variations of the design and place it in various possible shooting locations. The ended up shooting it at Dyrhólaey Arc in Iceland. The interior was designed for and shot in an LED Volume in London which was a fun challenge to work with in the concept stage.
We also did various other locations like the hunting camp seen earlier in the show. A lot of the colors changed but they kept our ideas for the transparent curtains subtle backlighting the scene which looked great.

Event Recap!
We had an amazing time at The Art Department in Eindhoven in the Netherlands last week.
We had the honor of hosting the opening day on the mainstage and we had a booth during the whole event. At our booth we invited students and professionals for portfolio reviews and had an opportunity to meet some of our clients and contractors outside of zoom for the first time.
It was the 20th anniversary for Playgrounds and the 9th anniversary for the event which we've attended from the first edition and every year it's simply amazing. We love doing these events and have more events lined up later this year. Come say hi if you see us around!

Here is some more work we have done on A Quiet Place Day One, which is out now on Netflix. Pathfinder worked on this from early preproduction all the way to post production and VFX.
Our visuals were used to directly draw up the sets, and to guide the construction, painting and props department. We helped the SFX team to understand where and how much smoke was needed and the action-vehicles coordinator where to place their vehicles and how to weather them.
It was an honor working directly with PD @simonbowlesdesign and Director @michael_sarnoski back in 2022 and a great honor to receive the BFDG Award for Best Production Design.
